Topics.so is a social analytics tool. To do its job it needs access to your posts and their metrics, and we want you to understand exactly what that involves. This policy describes what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Account information: your name, email address, and password, used to create and secure your account.
• Connected platform data: when you connect an Instagram, LinkedIn, or YouTube account, we receive access tokens along with your posts, captions, and their public metrics such as views, likes, and comments.
• Usage information: basic analytics about how the product is used, so we can improve it.

How we use it

We use your data for one purpose: showing you your own analytics. Post content is scanned only to match posts to the topics you create. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising. Sharing is limited to the service providers that host and measure the product, described under Privacy below.

Storage and security

Your data is encrypted in transit and stored with access controls in place. Platform access tokens are stored securely and used only to fetch your posts and metrics from the platforms you connected.

Third-party platforms

Your use of Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube remains governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Disconnecting an account in Topics.so revokes our access to it, and you can also revoke access from the platform's own settings at any time.

Deleting your data

You can disconnect an account or delete your brand at any time, and the associated data is removed from our systems. If you want your entire account deleted, contact us and we will take care of it.

Privacy

When you visit Topics.so we collect your IP address, your browser and device characteristics, the page that referred you, and the pages you view. We use this to measure how the site is used. We share it with the analytics provider we use and with other website operators who use that same provider. Other parties may collect information about your activity across different websites over time.

We do not respond to Do Not Track signals as no industry standard has been established. We do not share your information with advertisers.

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will note the new date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, let you know by email.
